⚙️ Product Updates
CELLxGENE: Explore Single-Cell Atlases with a Graphical Browser
Scientists can open CELLxGENE Explorer automatically by clicking on any H5AD file stored in LData, and perform single-cell analysis tasks such as clustering using TSNEs, UMAPs, cell type annotation, or differential gene expression.
Note: This feature is not specific to CELLxGENE. Latch Pods allows developers to customize which applications open on which files to make the analysis experience as seamless as possible for customers. Learn more on our Custom File Viewer Wiki.
Easily adjust compute resources for intensive tasks and host CELLxGENE visualizations directly within the Latch interface to streamline complex single-cell analyses.

Google Cloud Integration: Bring Your Own Data Directly to Latch
Mount existing GCP buckets and use them the same as you would any data on Latch with just a few clicks. This adds to our suite of tools that allow users to bring their own data to Latch, including AWS S3 buckets, FTP servers, SRA, Google Drive, HPC, or your local laptop. All files on Latch get automatic sharing links, no matter the size.

New Customer Flows for Solutions Providers: A Bioinformatics Delivery Platform for Kit, Assay, and Service Providers
Delight your customers a white-labeled web portal to turn raw data into final insights in just one day. Latch empowers solutions providers to give their customers a world-class experience from day one with:
Latch Workspaces: Within a provider’s Latch workspace, they can iterate on pipeline and application development internally and assemble an “analysis package” to send to customers. Providers can then create customer workspaces, dispatch an analysis package, and ship it to customer workspaces in just a few clicks.
Pod Template Sharing: Providers can host and deliver unlimited RShiny/Dash apps on Latch to allow customers to get insights from their data via digestible visualizations.
Admin Overview: Via the Admin Dashboard, providers can monitor customer credit usage, quickly transfer credits to a customer, and subscribe to alerts for failed customer workflows.

Drugging the Undruggable: Advancing oligonucleotide therapeutics with Elsie Biotechnologies
In March, we had the pleasure of hosting our first customer science webinar with Dillon Flood, the Co-Founder and Scientific Director of Elsie Biotechnologies. This webinar gave a detailed look into the computational design tools and unique high-throughput experimental approaches Elsie Biotechnologies leverages to develop drugs and how Latch has enabled them to accelerate their drug discovery. Since then, Elsie Biotechnologies has been acquired by GSK. Learn more through this announcement.
Exploring the computational design of microbes for enhanced crops with Metagen
In April, our webinar series continued with Chris Hames, Chief Data Officer, at Metagen as he explained more about the founding of their company, how they use Latch to accelerate their science, and their vision for the future of agricultural bioengineering.
During this webinar, Chris highlighted how Metagen utilizes Latch as their “unified platform” for agricultural analytics. Check out the clip below!
Using spatial biology to reveal the epigenetic drivers of disease with AtlasXomics
In our most recent webinar featuring Colin Ng, Vice President of AtlasXomics, we discussed key advancements in the field of spatial biology. Colin gave great insights into their discovery of the first and only comprehensive spatial epigenomics solution at a cellular resolution and how research labs utilize their technology to uncover the epigenetic drivers behind key disease areas such as cancer, pain, and aging.
In this webinar clip, our Co-Founder & COO, Kyle Giffin, describes the necessity of a comprehensive data platform for companies like AtlasXomics to offer a world-class data analysis experience to their customers.
